We are seeking a Customer Support Engineer who can assist with the development of software tools and programs with the goal of providing exceptional service and support to our customers! In this role, you will help customers get the most from our product suite and therefore enable them to be successful with their product development goals. You will join and lead meetings and calls to understand customer issues and how we can ensure they have the best experience. At times and when the situation allows you may travel on site to gain a better understanding and drive success. Responsibilities:
Actively work with field sales to close new business and provide support after sales to these accounts when needed Support customers via web meetings, phone lines, emails, etc. to be the customer advocate and provide the best customer experience Assist customers with the integration of standard and custom products into their systems/instruments Tune custom linear motion stages to consistently achieve high performance using a standardized approach Analyze system test data to understand system performance and capabilities Troubleshoot performance issues and find opportunities for improvement Assist with the development and release of standard and modified standard products Assist with the development of software tools and content that enable customer success Develop product training collateral for internal and external use Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (electrical or computer) or physics 3-5 years of engineering and technical customer service experience Basic skills in programming with languages such as C, C++, MATLAB and/or LabVIEW Electro-mechanical and closed loop control system knowledge is a plus Fortive is a diversified industrial growth company comprised of global businesses that are recognized leaders in attractive markets. Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Technical SupportEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
