Senior R&D Engineer
In this position you will design, develop and manage processes, methodologies and checklists for Digital and Mixed-Signal IPs in the DDR and SERDES IP group. This is a newly created position with opportunities to learn, grow and establish yourself as the go-to person who will manage and maintain our complete Product and ASIC Development flows. You will be the gate-keeper of quality for our ASIC products going out the door and will interface with product teams to help improve the methodologies we provide to improve their experience and our customers' experience. This is a high visibility role in which you will be given the chance to take on larger tasks to grow into the role. Tasks will include a mixture of technical and leadership tasks. You will primarily design and manage Software Tools and API Systems to organize and present succinctly a range of Digital ASIC Methodologies being used by a large organization, and you use Machine Learning to make recommendations on how to improve these methodologies for the organization. Tasks can also include the design and automation of scripts and their eventual communication and dissemination to teams in scale. Tasks will span a range of Software Engineering and ASIC Scripting functions:
Algorithm development, Data Modeling in C/C++, Synthesis, ATPG and Formality. This role requires a candidate with an excellent eye for quality, and who aspires to contribute and take the Methodology Core Team to the next level. The candidate will be expected to manage and police process improvements, methods and procedures. The successful candidate must be willing to build and grow status reporting skills, leadership skills and aspire for breadth of technical understanding. This role may require interacting with multiple internal functional groups and external customers, so excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Requirements and skills:
Requires a degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) and 2
years working experience in a related field Previous experience in Machine Learning and Data Modeling will be strongly considered Previous CAD experience in ASIC Design is preferred Strong skills in C/C++, Perl, Python, TCL; other familiar scripting languages a plus Project management and scheduling experience a plus Excellent Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Word skills; Microsoft Visio experience a plus Excellent communication skills JAMA and/or JIRA experience a plus
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
