Senior Software Engineer

The Team The Cisco Secure Firewall VPN Product Development team takes pride in continuously evolving the VPN product to ensure that our customers continue to enjoy an edge over our competitors. You would be part of a dynamic development team, working on cutting edge VPN products. You will be challenged with a wide variety of projects related to VPN for current and next generation security products. Role & Responsibilities As a Software Engineer, you would Develop and test new software features in a real-time Linux (or similar) OS environment. Develop and test complex modules of code. Debug and provide solutions for existing deployments. Write functional, design, and test specs. Be closely involved in testing the features and taking them to deployment stage. Work closely with Product Development teams at other sites. Required qualifications for this role:
Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in computer science, software engineering or a related field 3 - 5 years of software development experience in C, C+
or Python Systems and Network programming Debugging tools (gdb) Ability to adapt and learn new and complex development environments with extensive analytical skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a willingness to collaborate with other team members and a desire to learn new skills Desired skills:
Knowledge of PKI, Certificates, AAA, RADIUS Network Security Multi-threading, synchronization, and memory management Performance analysis Automation skills in Python Agile development methodologies Cisco Covid-19 Vaccination Policy The health and safety of Cisco's employees, customers, and partners is a top priority.
