Test Engineer

Position Overview:
The selected professional will play a crucial role as a Test Engineer, responsible for overseeing and executing comprehensive environmental validation testing to support both existing and upcoming product development initiatives.
As the primary point of contact, this individual will coordinate various activities, including test setup, execution, and report generation, collaborating closely with the Core and New Products engineering teams on a global scale, as well as with operations and project management.

Responsibilities:
Test Equipment Expertise:
Demonstrate proficiency in utilizing various test equipment, such as DMM, AC/DC variable voltage sources, Hi-Pot, Oscilloscope, Function Generator, Power Meter, Calipers, Micrometer, IR Temp Gun, Flow Meters.
Standards Interpretation:
Ability to interpret standards (e.
g.
, EN61326, UL913) to determine the required testing for a product to meet specific standards.
EMC/EMI Testing:
Execute EMC/EMI testing, covering RFI testing, EMI testing, Burst/Electrical Fast Transient (EFT), Electrostatic Discharge, Conducted & Radiated Immunity.
Vibration Testing:
Run test equipment for Vibration testing.
Test Setup Design:
Design, fabricate, and implement test setups to meet testing requirements.
Troubleshooting and Analysis:
Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis, with the ability to recommend changes and/or fixes.
Test Plans and Reporting:
Develop and execute test plans, providing comprehensive reports on the outcomes.
Coordination with 3rd Party Labs:
Coordinate testing activities with external 3rd party labs.
Preferred
Experience:
Familiarity with standards such as UL (508, 913, 353), CSA, FCC, CE EN61326.
Experience with Laplace II test cell.
Proficiency in software languages, including LabView and C.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education:
Associates degree in engineering or a related technical field.
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related science (preferred).
Experience:
5
years of experience in the Test engineering field.
